Eaglesforesight reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker Committee in Ogun, southwest Nigeria, on Monday, June 14, announced the death of its Treasurer, Adekunbi Banjoko.

This online news platform understands that the death of the APC Treasurer was made known in statement issued by its Caretaker Publicity Secretary, Mr Tunde Oladunjoye, and made available to eaglesforesight Reporter.


The statement by the APC Caretaker Publicity Secretary said that the APC Treasurer died in the early hours of Monday.

It was reported from our correspondent that Oladunjoye described the late APC treasurer as a devout Christian, seasoned politician and former Secretary to Sagamu Local Government,” he said.


“Until his death, he was also a member of Ogun Board of Public Health,” he said, adding that he served the party diligently, humbly and to the best of his ability.

“He will surely be missed by our members in the state working committee of the party,” he said.

In another sympathizing statement issued by a party loyalist, it was gathered that the news of the demise of Hon Banjoko Adekunbi  was a rude shock and a colossal loss to Sagamu, and Ogun State, most especially the Ogun State chapter of our great party, the APC.

Late Hon Banjoko has served Sagamu community in different capacities and also the Secretary to the Local Government after our return to democracy. And until his demise, was the Treasurer of Chief Yemi Sanusi led Caretaker Committee of our great party, APC.

Ogbeni Afolabi Odulate and the entire team AFO, also sympathized with the bereaved family, members and leaders of Apc in Sagamu, and our State Chairman Chief Yemi Sanusi. Our prayer is that God should repose the departed soul and uphold his family.
