It was a landmark historical record in Remo as another executives emerged yesterday, 16th of January, 2022 in the election held at Alakenne palace in Ikenne Remo.

The election which started with a well coordinated audience was at a point heated when a delegate raised hand to decline the candidature of comrade Ismail Adekunle, the supposed Vice Chairman 2 from Ariye Sagamu Remo before the election.

A disagreement which was reported by Eaglesforesight correspondent yesterday. A seven men reconciliation committee was set up to resolve the issue, which lasted for 42mins before the election was commenced.


The Sabo Youth Association president, Comrade Aina Olushola Bashiru, Comrade Adenuga Babafemi Otherwise known as Mandela who is also a stakeholder at Sabo and other executives and stakeholders from the Sabo Youth Association reported that he (Ismail Adekunle) didn’t inform the apex body nor the association he claimed to sponsor him.

It is against the norms and constitution guiding us for anyone to use our association to vye for any position in any of the Remo/Sagamu youth elections without having the blessings and approval of ours, Sabo Youth Association president said.


We have resolved it and it is something that doesn’t shock us most especially where youths election is conducted, one should expect something similar to this happening, former Remo Youth Association chairman, Odumosu Gbenga said.

We just have to set the records straight by correcting the wrongs, no matter where it happens, what matter most is keying into corrections and adapting to it, Mandela said.
